Email Marketing Campaign Tracking Tricks to Get More Prospects to Open Your Emails!
I was recently watching an educational tutorial about statistic tracking and the importance of keeping an eye on how your email campaigns are performing.
From what I understand if you have about a 25% “open” ratio, that’s a good thing! Here I thought if you didn’t have a 100% open rate you were doing really badly.
They say the average is about 15% to 25% open rate and if you’re meeting that you’re in good business.
I went back to analyze my stats and found I’m in the “good” ratio. Yet I’m not on every single one of my email campaigns. Some perform better than others.
This made me think a little about the next email I’d send out. The one’s that had about a 25% “open” rate, I will be using that same subject (with new information) again.
The others that may have ranked below 15% open rate, I’ll most likely lay off.
I have a list of network marketers, not job seekers. So my campaigns are about teaching what I know that works to that list. However not everything I know they are seeing as a benefit.
They are finding certain subjects of value. Like how to generate your own leads, how to talk to “other” network marketers and topics like that.
This can go levels deep into “spin off” topics I’ll be able to touch on later. Then with the tracking tool I can see how they are performing and continue to understand my audience on a deeper and more personal level.
As a network marketer myself I thought I had it in the bag what my list wanted to really know about. I was wrong - I’ve made the most common mistake about sharing what “I” think is good information and not what “my list” is in need of.
So if you have an email campaign or autoresponder service you use, go check your stats and break it down to get a better understanding of your prospects needs.
I guarantee you more “opened” emails if you do.
